Jalaun, 15 July (HS). Political turmoil has intensified after the death of a person named Rajkumar in police custody at Dakor police station in Jalaun district. A 24-member Congress team will visit the house of the deceased Rajkumar to meet his family. Earlier, Congress party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi had tweeted and raised questions on the deaths in police custody in the state.
Regarding the incident, it is being told that four days ago, SOG and Dakor police had picked up Rajkumar, a resident of Indira Nagar, for questioning in a murder case and were taking him somewhere for questioning. Then suddenly his health deteriorated and the police sent him to the hospital for treatment, where he died.
On receiving information about Rajkumar's death, the bereaved family made serious allegations against the police. As the matter gained momentum on social media, Congress has taken this incident seriously. On Tuesday, Congress party's state president Ajay Rai will go to Kannauj with 24 members.
