A committee headed by Lalit K Panwar was formed to review the reorganisation of new districts

Jaipur, June 29 (HS). Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has approved the formation of a committee regarding the reorganization of districts in the state. This committee constituted under the chairmanship of former IAS Lalit K. Panwar will submit its report to the cabinet sub-committee regarding the reorganization of new districts.

It is noteworthy that during the tenure of the previous Gehlot government, new districts were created by reorganizing the districts in the state. It was decided to review the administrative requirements, financial resources and other points of the new districts formed by the state government. Recently, a cabinet sub-committee has also been formed in this regard. The newly formed committee will submit its report to the cabinet sub-committee.

It is noteworthy that before the assembly elections, the Gehlot government had formed 17 new districts and three divisions in the state on the recommendation of the Ramlubhaya Committee. The BJP had raised questions on this decision of Gehlot. On June 12, the Bhajan Lal government had formed a cabinet sub-committee under the coordination of Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa for review. Industry Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, PHED Minister Kanhaiyalal Choudhary, Revenue Minister Hemant Meena and Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat were made members of the committee.
