Araria, 29 October (Hindustan Reporter). Raniganj police station of the district, on a tip-off, seized 28.2 liters of banned cough syrup and a car and arrested two businessmen. Among the arrested businessmen was 26-year-old Mohd. Imtiaz father Mohd. Ilahi and 26 year old Mohd. Abdul father Mohd. Yasin, both of village Rampur ward number four police station Forbesganj, were arrested on Monday night.
Regarding this incident, police station incharge Nirmal Kumar Yadvendu said that on the basis of secret information, a red colored car was driving very fast on the road coming towards Araria Raniganj road. After seeing the police vehicle, the car started running fast. While chasing the vehicle, the vehicle was stopped in front near Santhali Tola Ward 2 of Hasanpur Nagar Panchayat, behind the Forest Department. During the search of the said vehicle, 28.2 liters of banned cough syrup was recovered. The car was seized and both the businessmen were arrested.
