Dumka, June 22 (HS). A bus caught fire after coming in contact with a high tension wire in Shri Amda under Digghi OP area of the district. The bus was completely burnt to ashes. Two people including the bus conductor got burnt in this incident, who have been admitted to the hospital.
It is said that on Saturday morning, Shiv Shakti bus (JH 04 S 1796) was going to Teliyachak Navadih to take a wedding procession. During this, the bus caught fire after coming in contact with a high tension wire. The driver of the bus immediately jumped out of the bus but two people including the bus conductor got stuck. After a lot of effort, both were taken out. Both have been burnt by the fire, they have been sent to Phool Jhano Medical College.
After getting information about this incident, two fire engines reached the spot and extinguished the fire but by then the bus had burned to ashes. Fortunately, there were no passengers in the bus. Fireman Raj Kumar Pandey told that he received information from Mufassil police station Dumka that a bus has caught fire. After getting the information, he reached the spot with two fire engines and extinguished the fire. He told that when he reached the spot, the electric wire was near the bus, which shows that the fire must have started due to this reason.
