Boat sinks off Yemen coast: 13 people including 11 women among 25 tourists have died after a boat sank off the coast of Yemen. According to the United Nations Migration Agency, efforts are on to find the 14 people missing in the boat accident. According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), a tourist boat capsized off the coast of Yemen's Taiz province last Tuesday. There were 25 citizens of the East African country Ethiopia on board the boat. Two of them were from Yemen. The boat had left from the East African country Djibouti.

There were 11 women and 2 children in the boat

According to the IOM report on the boat sinking tragedy, there were 11 women and 2 children on the boat. While relief and rescue agencies are searching for 14 missing people. The missing people also included the Yemeni captain and his colleagues. The reason for the sinking of the ship has not been revealed. The acting head of the IOM mission in Yemen said, 'Despite being dangerous, a large number of passengers travel through this sea route. There have been incidents of boat capsizing in June-July as well.'

Yemen to receive 97,200 tourists in 2023
