A 5-year-old girl died after showing symptoms of Chandipura virus in Purana Rabdiya village, the health department conducted a door-to-door survey

Mahisagar: A 5-year-old girl died under suspicious circumstances after showing symptoms of Chandipura virus in the old Rabadia village of Lunawada in Mahisagar district. After which the health department swung into action and conducted a door-to-door survey in the entire village.

A 5-year-old girl from Old Rabadia village in Lunavada taluk of Mahisagar district was treated locally before she developed symptoms of Chandipuram virus. She was admitted to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital on July 11. Where the girl died two days ago i.e. on July 14.

After the death of the girl, the health department has come into action and dusting, anti-larva, fogging and health related operations have been carried out in the old Rabdaria village. Along with this, a survey has also been conducted. Apart from this, small children are being tested and villagers are being made aware about this virus by going door to door.

The special thing is that the population of the village is around 3 thousand. Most of them are cattle rearers. Due to which dirt is also seen in the village, health related activities are also being done by the Gram Panchayat. The district health department has appealed to immediately contact the health department if any such suspicious case is found.
