Zirakpur: A 19-year-old girl living in a PG in Jarnail Enclave Colony committed suicide by hanging herself. The deceased girl was worried about not getting a job. Police have kept the body in Derabassi Civil Hospital and have started investigating the case. Investigating officer Ashwani Kumar said that Gurpreet Kaur (19), resident of village Dera Dhindsa, Sangrur Hall, resident of house number 77, Jarnail Enclave, Zirakpur, lived in the PG of a person named Bhim Sen.
At 9:30 in the morning, the girl who lived with him left him safely. Meanwhile, Gurpreet Kaur's mother called her at around 1:49 pm but she did not pick up the phone, after which her mother called the girls living with her, after which the girls living with her broke the door. The dead body was hanging from the fan inside. The police have kept the body at Derabassi Hospital for post-mortem and have informed the relatives of the deceased. According to the police, the deceased's brother had met with an accident recently and he was not getting any suitable job in Zirakpur, due to which she was under stress.
