A 3300-year-old cargo ship has been found under the surface of the Mediterranean Sea, 90 km off the coast of Israel. Bronze Age artifacts dating back to the 14th century BC have been found on this ship. Since pirates were very active in the Bronze Age, it seems more likely that the ship was looted. The ship was loaded with items used in ancient Greece. The ship was loaded with oil, wine and grain. A highly developed human civilization existed in Egypt at that time.
Information about this ship came to light through the efforts of Israel's archaeological department and Britain's oil and gas company. This ship is 12 to 14 meters long and was found at a depth of 1.80 km in the sea. Plants, lime and chemicals were brought on this ship. The ship is still buried below the sea level. Efforts are being made to bring it out. Due to the tremendous pressure of the water current in the deep sea, it is a big challenge to take the ship out.
A robot released into the sea reached the ship
According to the information received, the robot launched into the sea during the search for gas in the Mediterranean Sea reached the 2023 ship. The robot sent some pictures and took a video of the ship, from which the Israeli Archaeological Department ordered a sample and tested it. This ship may have been a victim of a sea storm or may have sunk due to an attack by pirates. Archaeologists believe that it is the oldest of the ancient ships found in the sea so far.
