Jaipur, September 4 (HS). Sundar Gurjar of Rajasthan won the bronze medal in Javelin Throw (F 46) at Paris Paralympics 2024. Sundar threw the javelin to a distance of 64.96 meters. Sundar Gurjar is a resident of Devlen village of Todabhim in Gangapur City.

There is an atmosphere of happiness in Sundar Gurjar's village after he won the bronze medal. His elder brother Hariom Singh fed sweets to the people. The elder brother told that Sundar is a very hardworking player, who does his work with full dedication. He had dreamed of winning the gold medal in 2021, but it could not be fulfilled. However, in the last attempt also he could get only the bronze medal. Despite this, Sundar worked hard continuously and this time also he has increased the pride of the country, society and family by winning the bronze medal. Sundar Gurjar also created history in the Asian Para Games held in 2023. He won the gold medal by throwing 68.60 meters. In the Paralympic Games held in 2021, Sundar Gurjar also brought laurels to the country by winning the bronze medal.
It is noteworthy that in 2016, in an accident at a friend's house of Sundar Gurjar, a tin shed fell on his wrist, due to which his left hand had to be amputated. After the accident, Sundar was deeply depressed and did not even show his face to his parents. He had resolved that he would not return home until he achieved something big. After hard work and struggle, Sundar returned to his village Devlen after winning a gold medal in the Para World Athletics Championship.
