Hisar, September 4 (HS). An induction program is going on for the new students taking admission in B.Tech courses of the university, courtesy of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology. In this, subject experts are giving lectures to the students in various sessions. The coordinator of this program is Prof. Anjan Kumar Baral and the deputy coordinator is Dr. Sanjeev Mathur. Dr. Vikas Jangra and Dr. Vineeta Mathur were present on this occasion.
In his lecture on Wednesday, Dr. Narendra Chauhan, Deputy Librarian of the University's Dr. BR Ambedkar Library, told the students about staying stress free. He told the difference between intelligence and knowledge. He also informed the students about the importance of Guru and spirituality. He told that more than 5000 journals and speeches of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam are available on the university's website. Apart from this, he told about e-Pathshala, Virtual Lab and video lectures and notes available in the National Digital Library. He also told the students about the Swayam Portal and NPTEL online courses and told the students about the infrastructural and other facilities of the library and the timetable of the library.
Prof. Sunita Rani of Haryana School of Business first conducted an activity for the students titled 'Privilege Walk'. She said that the university campus is already beautiful. It is the responsibility of all of us to maintain its beauty. She said that the newly arrived students should maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the university campus.
Colonel (Retd) Bir Singh Sihag said that we should not forget our old culture, rather we should study it and try to move forward accordingly. Whatever work you do, first of all set a goal. After that work hard and stick to that goal. NCC Coordinator Prof. Rajeev Kumar delivered a lecture on 'Unity and Discipline by Adventure, Passion and Profession'. He told about the various camps and activities going on in the five villages adopted by the university. Students can also participate in the Mountaineering Adventure Club run by the university.
Program coordinator Prof. Anjan Kumar Baral said in his welcome address that time management is very important for all of us. He said that we should also give time to our family members. Program deputy coordinator Prof. Sanjeev Mathur conducted the program.
