Ranchi, September 4 (HS). Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Minister Deepika Pandey Singh held a review meeting of agriculture and agriculture related schemes with departmental officials on Wednesday. While boosting the morale of the departmental officials on the occasion, Deepika said that all the officers should work under team work and the work should be such that the benefits of government schemes can reach the last farmer of the state.
In this meeting held in the auditorium of Nepal House, Agriculture Director Kumar Tarachand informed that in the financial year 2024, the benefit of schemes related to the Directorate of Agriculture has been given to about 4 lakh 12 thousand farmers of the state and the benefit of the schemes is expected to reach more than 2 lakh farmers. Under the Jharkhand Agricultural Loan Waiver Scheme, farmers whose outstanding amount is up to two lakh rupees have been identified and their loan will be waived in this month itself.
So far 9722 farmers have been registered under Jharkhand State Millet Mission. The registration process is still going on, which can be availed by the farmers of the state. 4960 applications passed by the Gram Sabha have been received under the Kisan Samridhi Yojana.
It is worth noting that around 6738 solar energy based pump sets are to be distributed under the Kisan Samridhi Yojana.
Kiran Pasi said that the target of fish production in the financial year 202-25 has been set at 3.5 lakh metric tons and so far about 1.1 metric tons have been produced. In the next 60 days, fish seeds, feed and nets will be distributed among 7500 fishermen with subsidy. For marketing of fish, 30 pick-up vans will be distributed on subsidy (up to a maximum of Rs 3.6 lakh).
