It is reported that Congress has given three seats to Vinesh Phogat and two seats to Bajrang Punia. Vinesh Phogat has been given three options of Charkhi, Dadri and Julana, while Bajrang Punia has been given two options of Bahadurgarh and Bhiwani.
Wrestler Bajrang Punia has expressed his desire to contest the 2024 assembly elections from Sonipat in Haryana. He had also shown interest in the changed seat of Jhajjar, but the Congress has given Bajrang Punia the option of Bahadurgarh and Bhiwani seats.

Vinesh Phogat, who was disqualified from the Paris Olympics 2024 final due to being 100 grams underweight, can also contest against her father-in-law Pierre Kay. Congress has given Vinesh Phogat the option of Dadri and Badhra seats of Charkhi Dadri district. Vinesh Phogat's village Balali falls in this district. Vinesh Phogat has got the third option of Julana seat of Jind district.
