Mumbai: T-Series Films will not be able to produce any films that mention the word 'Aashiqui' in the future. Mukesh Bhatt, the producer of the original film 'Aashiqui' starring Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal, has won a case in the Delhi High Court to protect the title. The High Court has banned T-Series from using any title that mentions the word 'Aashiqui'.
According to the court order, T-Series cannot make any film with the title 'Tu Hi Aashiqui' or 'Tu Hi Aashiqui Hai'.
The High Court said that earlier two films have been made with the name 'Aashiqui' and 'Aashiqui 2'. Now if any film uses the word 'Aashiqui' in its title, then the audience will believe that it may have some connection with the next two films. So the 'Aashiqui' brand may get weakened.
According to the buzz, T-Series is in the process of making the film 'Aashiqui 3'. After this, Mukesh Bhatt gave a public notice saying that he has the rights of this title and T-Series cannot make this film. After this, T-Series was somehow trying to make a film with the word Aashiqui in the title. Therefore, Mukesh Bhatt filed a case in the court to protect the title.
