Poland's star player Iga Swiatek won the match and entered the quarterfinals of the last Grand Slam US Open tennis tournament. Swiatek, the number 1 in women's singles, will play her ninth Grand Slam quarterfinal.
Swiatek, who played her 100th career Grand Slam match, defeated Ludmila Samsonova 6-4, 6-1 to reach the US Open quarterfinals for the second time.
