A man troubled by his second wife committed suicide by jumping into a canal, a case was registered on the basis of the suicide note. | News India

Moga: Lakhveer Singh, a resident of village Meharon, fed up with his second wife and daughter-in-law, committed suicide by jumping into the canal.

Giving information in this regard, police station chief Inspector Gurmel Singh said that a suicide note has also been found near the deceased. In this regard, on the statement of the deceased's son Navdeep Singh, resident of village Meharon, a case has been registered against Paramjit Kaur, resident of Ajitwal and Tapinder Kaur, resident of village Jhandiwala, on the charge of forcing him to commit suicide.

In the complaint letter given to the police, the son of the deceased told that his mother Paramjit Kaur died in 2009, after which my father married Paramjit Kaur in 2010 and sent her to Canada at his expense. He said that my stepmother used to harass me and my brother Navjot Singh, due to which my father decided to live separately from Paramjit Kaur and got divorced from the Panchayat in August 2023, but my case was against my father Lakhveer Singh, she used to complain and my sister-in-law also used to harass me, due to which my father was mentally disturbed.

Today at 6 am my father went to Badhni Kalan in his car. At 9 pm I received a call from someone that your father Lakhveer Singh has parked his car near Badhni Kalan bridge and ended his life by jumping into the canal. He said that my step mother and Tapinder Kaur are responsible for my father's death, my father committed suicide after getting fed up with them. The police chief said that Lakhveer Singh's body is being searched for.
