Ujjain, 3 September (HS). Poonamchand Yadav, father of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, has passed away. He was around 100 years old and was ill for a week, due to which he was admitted to a private hospital in Ujjain, where he breathed his last on Tuesday evening. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla, BJP State President VD Sharma and other public representatives have expressed deep grief over his demise.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was in Bhopal on Tuesday. He held a cabinet meeting in the evening. After this, on receiving the news of his father's death, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav left for Ujjain. His last rites will be performed in Ujjain on Wednesday morning at 11.30. People associated with the Yadav community say that Poonamchand Yadav struggled a lot in his life. He gave good education to his sons Nandu Yadav, Narayan Yadav, Mohan Yadav and daughters Kalavati, Shanti Devi. During the days of struggle, his father came to Ujjain from Ratlam and first worked in a diamond mill. After this, he opened a Bhajiya shop in Malipura of the city and a Dal-Bafla shop in Freeganj. Even after being 100 years old, he used to go to the market himself to sell the produce.
