Nivin Pauly accused of sexual harassment : The Malayalam film industry has been shocked after the Justice Hema Committee report came out. Due to which many celebrities have been accused of sexual harassment. Now the name of Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly has also been added to this list. A non-bailable case has been registered against Nivin Pauly in the sexual harassment case. However, the actor has called all the allegations false.
A woman has accused Nivin Pauly of sexual harassment. The woman has lodged a complaint with the police in Ernakulam that Nivin Pauly had called her to Dubai on the pretext of giving her a role in the film. The case dates back to November 2023 when the woman went to the hotel room at the behest of the actor and Nivin sexually assaulted her.
A case has been registered under section 376
An FIR has been filed against Nivin Pauly under section 376 (rape) of the IPC. An official from the Onukal police station said there are six accused in the case, including a woman.
Nivin calls the allegations 'false'
Nivin denied all the allegations in an Instagram post on Tuesday evening. He wrote in the statement- 'I have seen a false news accusing me of exploiting a girl. Please know that this is completely false, I am committed to doing everything possible to prove these allegations wrong and will take all necessary steps to expose those responsible. Thank you for your concern. Legal action will be taken along with the rest. “
These actors were also accused
Let us tell you that earlier cases of sexual harassment have been registered against many other actors and directors of the Malayalam film industry. The case is pending against actor Siddiqui, Jayasurya and director Ranjit. Keeping this in mind, the Kerala government has also formed a special committee which is investigating the whole matter.
