Devastation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have been devastated by the rains that have been pouring in for the last 3 days. Many districts have been submerged due to the floods. About 33 people have died, including 17 in Andhra Pradesh and 16 in Telangana. More than 400 trains have been cancelled and the routes of 140 trains have been diverted. About four and a half lakh people have been affected by the floods across Andhra Pradesh. More than 100 relief camps have been set up. The floods have caused massive destruction in Vijayawada, Guntur, Krishna, Eluru, Palnadu, Bapatla, Prakasam.

Telangana suffers losses of Rs 5438 crore due to floods

40 teams of SDRF and NDRF have been deployed for rescue operations. Power supply has been disrupted in many areas. Life has been disrupted. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has directed the three wings of the army to provide relief services through helicopters, drones, boats and tractors. Telangana has suffered a loss of Rs 5438 crore in three days due to the floods.

Flood situation in some districts of Gujarat too

Due to heavy rains, Gujarat also got flooded. More than 200 talukas were submerged in flood water. The Meteorological Department has again issued a red alert for heavy rains for the next 3 days. 10 rivers and more than 100 lakes of the state have been flooded. More than 100 roads are blocked. 20 thousand people have been rescued from Vadodara alone and taken to relief camps.

Alert for 8 districts of Himachal Pradesh

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rain in 8 districts of Himachal Pradesh, Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan, Kullu, Kinnaur. The sky will remain cloudy and there will be rain with thunder and lightning. More than 100 roads including the National Highway are already closed. So far this year, more than 150 people have lost their lives in various accidents due to unseasonal rain.
