Maharashtra Politics: A wave of defection seems to be going on in Maharashtra. Some leaders are returning home, while there are some leaders who are changing parties due to better prospects in the elections. Shiv Sena-UBT MP Sanjay Raut has made a big claim regarding Eknath Khadse's statement. Raut said, 'Many leaders are in touch with Mahavikas Aghadi. Many prominent leaders of 'Mahayuti' i.e. BJP, Shiv Sena, NCP will join MVA.'
From Eknath Khadse's statement it seems that he is angry with BJP and can return to Sharad Pawar's group.
Talking to the media, Sanjay Raut said, 'We are also in touch with many leaders, soon you will know how many big leaders of the Mahayuti are joining the Maha Vikas Aghadi.'
Politics heated up due to Eknath's statement
Eknath Khadse returned to BJP, but he has alleged that due to opposition from some people, his return to BJP was not formally announced. He is very upset about this. I am still a member of the party led by Sharad Pawar and am also its MLA. My resignation was not accepted. I will wait for a few days and then take a decision.
BJP and NCP have suffered a setback before the elections
Before the elections, leaders of the Mahayuti party are resigning. BJP leaders and former ministers Suryakant Patil and Madavarai Kinhalkar have joined Sharad Pawar's faction. Apart from this, Vasant Deshmukh from Solapur has already announced to join Sharad Pawar's party. Samarjit Ghatge has also joined hands with NCP-SP. Also, Ramraj Nimbalkar of Ajit Pawar faction is also likely to leave the party.
More than 20 NCP officials from Pimpali-Chinchwad joined the Sharad Pawar group in July. They resigned from the NCP before Sharad Pawar's rally.
