Vidisha: Assistant Director of Fisheries Department arrested red-handed taking bribe of Rs 50,000

Vidisha, March 4 (HS). Bhopal Lokayukta Police team, while carrying out a major action in Vidisha district on Monday, arrested Santosh Kumar Dubey, Assistant Director posted in the Fisheries Department, red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 50 thousand. A case has been registered against the accused assistant director under the Prevention of Corruption Act and further action is being taken.

According to the information, in an order dated August 2022, approximately Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand was to be paid to the beneficiary. After the budget came, the amount was deposited in the beneficiary's account, but out of that amount it was decided to give Rs 50 thousand to the Assistant Director. Lokayukta Police Inspector Neelam Patwa said that on the instructions of Lokayukta SP, after confirming the complaint of complainant Hariram Raikwar, Assistant Director Santosh Kumar Dubey has been arrested in Vidisha while taking a bribe of Rs 50 thousand.
