Ganesh Chaturthi 2024: In Hinduism, Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated for 10 days. This year Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated on 19th September. During Ganesh Utsav, devotees of Bappa install the idol of Lord Ganesha in their house and worship and fast in his devotion.

- Black clothes should not be worn during the puja. Red or yellow clothes are considered auspicious.
- According to religious beliefs, one should not see Lord Chandra on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi.
- It is considered inauspicious to see the idol of Ganesha in the dark. Therefore, proper lighting should be arranged at the place of the idol.
Do these auspicious works on Ganesh Chaturthi-
- The clay idol of Ganesha is considered very auspicious. Therefore, install a clay idol in the house.
- After installing the idol of Lord Ganesha, worship him as per the rituals and offer him Modak.
- Offering Durva to Bappa during Ganesh Chaturthi is also considered very auspicious. This ends all the troubles in a person's life.
