Brother and sister stole Rs 2.35 lakh from retired teacher's house, broke the cupboard and stole it | News India

Ludhiana News: A case of theft of Rs 2.35 lakh has come to light from the house of retired teacher Master Bakshi Ram, resident of village Barisal Kalan near Machhiwara Sahib. In this case, sister Jashandeep Kaur and her brother Akashdeep, living in the same village, have been arrested under the alleged charges.

During the press conference today, Police Chief Pavitra Singh said that retired teacher Bakshi Ram has registered a statement with the police that he lives alone in his house in the village.

On the night of August 30, he locked the house and went to Machhiwara Sahib for some personal work. When he returned home in the evening, he saw that the cupboard in the room was open and the money kept in the locker was also missing.

According to Mr. Bakshi Ram, he had sold a plot and had kept the money worth Rs. 2.35 lakh in the cupboard. After registering a complaint in this matter, when the police checked the CCTV cameras installed near the house, they saw that Jashandeep Kaur, a resident of the village, and her brother Akashdeep were going to the house of a retired teacher.

The police arrested these two siblings on Machiwara-Noorpur road and during interrogation they told that after stealing from the retired teacher's house, they had deposited this amount in their bank account. SHO Pavitra Singh said that both the accused will be produced in the court and remanded and then the money will be recovered.
