During the physical examination, Dr. RK Ranjan from the hospital has said that the cause of the young man's death was drug consumption. Talking to journalists, Dr. Ranjan said that we are still trying to find out the cause of death, but the initial investigation has revealed suffocation as the cause.
He further said that looking at some symptoms, I would say that these youth were given anaesthetic to increase their stamina, overdose of which can even lead to death. At present, he has said that there is no concrete information in this regard.

Jharkhand Police officials said that some candidates have died during the physical examination for the recruitment of Excise Constable in Jharkhand. Police said that the physical examination under the Jharkhand Excise Constable Competitive Examination was going on at 7 centers in Ranchi, Giridih, Hazaribagh, Palamu, East Singhbhum and Sahebganj districts. At present the matter is being investigated.
What did CM Hemant Soren say?
Taking cognizance of this matter, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that we are investigating the matter of death and fainting of candidates during the recruitment race. After the order of the Chief Minister, the time of the recruitment campaign has been changed from Saturday to 4.30 am.
