IPS daughters' bodies found in university hostel: A 19-year-old student named Anika Rastogi was found unconscious in her room in a university hostel in the Asian police station area of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday night. She was declared dead while being taken to the hospital. When the local police investigated, it was found that she was the daughter of a 1998 batch IPS officer.
Anika was the daughter of an IPS officer
Anika was a student of the prestigious Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Anika Rastogi's father Santosh Rastogi is an IPS officer in Lucknow. He is working as IG in NIA Delhi. Anika was studying LLB third year at Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow.
The postmortem report shows no injuries on the body
According to Anika's postmortem report, no injury marks were found on her body. However, the cause of death is not clear. After the postmortem, the family has left for Delhi with the body.
Apart from this, when Anika was found unconscious in her room, her clothes were also intact and there were no marks of any kind of injury or force on her body. Also, it was well-arranged. Nothing suspicious was found there either.
Anika had a heart attack earlier too
According to sources, Anika Rastogi already had a medical problem. She had already suffered a heart attack and had undergone three heart operations. She was also on medication. According to the police, further action will be taken on the basis of the postmortem report and the victim's family has not yet lodged a complaint with the police.
