A Congress leader in Chhattisgarh committed suicide by consuming poison along with his wife and children | News India

A senior Congress leader was poisoned along with his entire family in Jhanjgir Champa district of Chhattisgarh. All of them were declared dead during treatment at a hospital in Bilaspur. The reason why the entire family committed suicide by consuming poison is not yet known.

Police have sealed his house and investigation is underway. Senior Congress leader Panchram Yadav, who lives in Ward No. 10 of Jhanjgir Mohalla of Nagar police station area, consumed poison along with his wife and two sons. ASP Rajendra Jaiswal said that on the night of August 30, Panchram Yadav consumed poison along with his wife Dinesh Nandini Yadav, sons Suraj Yadav and Neeraj Yadav. After this, all of them were admitted to the district hospital for treatment but due to deteriorating condition, all were referred to Bilaspur where Neeraj Yadav died during treatment at SIMS Hospital, after that Panchram Yadav, Dinesh Nandini Yadav and Suraj Yadav were admitted to RB Hospital where they were treated, meanwhile late on the night of August 31, all three left the dead body.

Both the gates of the house were closed and poison was poured

The family first locked the outer door and then locked the back door from inside and then all of them consumed poison together. When neighbours went inside the house, four people were found in critical condition.
