A case of death of about 10 candidates during the physical test during the excise constable recruitment drive in Jharkhand has come to light. BJP state president Babulal Marandi has demanded a judicial inquiry into the death of job seekers in this incident and to provide jobs and compensation to the dependents of the deceased.
Police said that the excise constable recruitment drive has been conducted in Ranchi, Giridih, Hazaribagh, Palamu, East Singhbhum and Sahebganj districts in Jharkhand. Unfortunately, some candidates died during the physical test at some centers. The reasons for the death of the candidates are being investigated. A case has been registered against the officials in connection with the incident.
Lack of proper health facilities at examination centres
The BJP leader alleged that there was a lack of proper health facilities at the examination centres. Candidates were made to stand in queues till late night for the test and appeared for the exam in the scorching sun the next morning. He demanded immediate compensation and jobs for the family of the deceased and demanded a judicial inquiry into such a serious incident.
