Patiala: The police teams maintaining law and order are not able to protect themselves and the police teams coming to arrest the accused (Punjab Police) are constantly being attacked. Within the last three days, three incidents have taken place in the city and surrounding areas where the police team has been attacked by criminals. After this, the police registered a new case and arrested them, but in two cases the accused escaped from the police.

According to the information, on August 13, the police of Bakshiwala police station had registered a case for dowry against her husband Gurpreet Singh, Ranpreet Singh, Parwinder Kaur resident of Jatiwal, Jagjit Singh resident of village Jatiwal on the complaint of a woman. And the woman's nephew had filed a case against Ranpreet Singh under unnatural relations. Gurpreet Singh was absconding in this case, about which the police got information that Amrik Singh alias Kala Singh has given shelter to Gurpreet Singh in Chaswal village. On August 31, SI Janpal Singh and the police team reached the house of Narinder Singh and Kala Singh, where the accused assaulted and abused the police team. Before the police could catch the accused Gurpreet Singh, he fled from the spot with his accomplice Narinder Singh. The police registered a case against Gurpreet Singh and Kala Singh and Kala Singh's mother Rajinder Kaur and arrested Rajinder Kaur. Rajinder Kaur (55) caught him by putting her hand on the police uniform and the accused fled from in front of the police team.
