Singapore, 2 September (HS). In a music festival in Singapore, famous musician AR Rahman made the audience of around 25,000 dance with his performance. In this festival, AR Rahman also performed with his son.
Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman performed his extremely popular Tamil and Hindi songs from the 1990s and 2000s, including “Mukkala Muqabla” and “Tere Bina”, in the presence of former President Halima Yacob and her husband.
The composer began Saturday's concert with his Oscar-winning composition “Jai Ho” from the 2008 film “Slumdog Millionaire”.
Accompanying him on stage were a 31-member entourage of singers, dancers and musicians, including his son AR Amin, The Straits Times reported on Sunday.

The usually reserved Rahman brought his 21-year-old son on stage and the pride on his face was evident. “I want to introduce you to AR Ameen, a shy guy from Chennai,” he said. The father-son duo performed “Ninaivirukka” from “Pathu Thala” (2023). Next, they were joined by Indian singer-composer Shakthisree Gopalan.
