Nainital, September 1 (HS). The Nainital Cantonment Board is setting up the country's second 'Forest Healing Center', a kind of forest therapy center, where people will be able to keep themselves healthy amidst the forests. This center will be effective before December 2024 and tourists will get a new attraction in the summer season next year.
CEO of Cantonment Board Varun Kumar informed that this is the country's second 'Forest Healing Center' being established in 1.25 acres of forest area adjacent to the former toll post of the municipality on Nainital-Bhowali road. Japanese experts have been contacted for the construction of this center, who will soon come here and assist in the project. Other better facilities like healing among trees, forest bath, panchkarma, jungle walk, and meditation yoga in a roofed tree house will also be included in this center. This scheme will be operated in PPP mode at an estimated cost of about 60 to 70 lakh rupees. Positive talks have been held on various aspects of the project.
It is noteworthy that before this, the country's first Forest Healing Centre has been established in Ranikhet, Kumaon.
