King of literary festivals: King of literary festivals Bhupinder Singh Bedi | News India

“I'll be back in an hour.” We need to talk.

I know a teacher is retiring. “Come in two hours,” I said.

But then Ankhi said, “Do it more!” Bedi is here. Give her my message very early in the morning.

meet me

I said, “Is your daughter's bed there?”

“I know! There can be no stage secretary without a teacher's retirement bedi.

I went recently Bedi was telling about the life of a retired teacher

Bedi has so much time to become a professor that hardly anyone in Barnala or Sangrur district has time. (But now he has got over this habit. After retiring from his job, he has become a professor at Guru Gobind Singh College, Sanghera.)

He studied law from Ganganagar. In those days, vacancies were released in FCI. He had obtained his B.A. degree. He applied on the basis of which he was appointed, but when he joined a party of friends, his friends congratulated him on getting a good post. Anakhi says, 'We will get into Mastery.' You are in a good department.

He says, “Ankhi Sir! I am doing MA, I don't know when I will leave this department?

“Why? What happened to the department?”

“What was this supposed to happen?” Is it the use of counting bags at the station all day? There is always the worry of losing the bag. Until the train leaves, life is at stake.

Bedi did his M.A. He also did his M.Phil. He passed the UGC exam and did his Ph.D. but professorship was like an amber egg for him. Neither did he know how to lay the egg by stretching his hands nor did anyone help him in laying the egg.

Once he was transferred from Barnala to Mahal Kalan one day suddenly early in the morning I called him then he spoke as if he was speaking from a well

I asked him the reason and he said, “Mahal Kalan depot is not good, I have to go there, let me include it in what I have done.”

I came up with a solution, Barnala took his place, the next day he was overjoyed

friends he gathered

It was in full swing. He would say in merriment, “Bol Chhanki Maharaj Ki, Jai!” Accepting the praise

Ah ah ah, give me the parrot, give me the parrot, it was a parrot.

Saying the word 'Totni' he tapped Independent Dania's bald head with his fingers and everyone raised their glasses.

At a party, Anakhi says, “Bedi! Your slogan is very good, but what about this sneeze? Instead, ignore it. Weight is equal.”

Bedi reused the word 'Anakhi' at that time and the slogan continued in this form throughout Anakhi's lifetime.

Bedi is very cheerful. Sometimes he laughs off even the biggest sorrows, like blowing on the soil from below, but he is also very understanding. Does he know what he thinks? But he does not turn his ego into a snake's sting, rather like a turtle he hides the scythe in the cavity of his body. Everything is understood when the time comes.

Bedi knows how to cook food with his own fire. He belongs to a hereditary family. In his childhood, while his classmates yearned for money, his pocket was never empty of notes. Due to not having money in hand, his nature is also detached.

Bedi's life is rooted in needlework. She started making fancy pants in the eighth grade with her father Jaswant Singh Bedi. Her father did not want her to do so

But Bedi avoided their eyes and stopped going to the shop, but perhaps his passion for needlework had faded. He still uses it

If two friends have a breakup, he will keep listening to them for days. When he realizes that the anger of both friends has come on his palm, he takes out his signal needle and thread and then finding the right opportunity, 'Bol Ankhi Maharaj Di!' Like a coin in the hand of Jai Madari, he manages and closes the gap between them on the second-third peg. I have bowed down many times in front of this miracle of his. He thinks, what confusion has this seven-year-old child got into today and then when he remembers his unfulfilled desires, a voice comes from within him and hits his lips. Only one thought roams in his mind, 'Vichar Bedi' If he knows how to add. He also wants to look inside. If he makes a mistake, he feels like slapping him on the neck. If a friend tries to harm his dignity, he does not say anything in the beginning. He remains quiet but when the next person comes forward, he knows to lower his eyes. But such occasions have come in his life like salt in flour. Bedi writes stories, poems and also criticizes. Reviewing a book is a cakewalk for him. When it starts working, it brings the surface below the surface. He stays awake till late at night. There are doubts in the morning. But if the train derails, the incomplete poems, prey to the roughness of the paper, keep waiting for it.

One day I said, “Bedi! You would be a very good critic if you didn’t throw dead snakes at others.

On hearing me, he fell silent and sighed as if he had died before taking anything. He said, 'This is a small thing, but I have never seen a person beg from me.' Come on, think what was yours, those who wanted to eat, ate it. Do you remember meeting any man?

Remember that no matter what one does the world stands still.

“But I can't do anything.” The following actions have been taken We will come back Sometimes the good and the bad feel the same.

Bedi's honesty is such that he still maintains a relationship with the teacher or professor from whom he studied. He shares their joys and sorrows, it is a different matter that he is the way he is, no one like him has come into his life, people keep coming and going in his life, many of his friends also 'inspire' him to change his behavior with their 'behavior' but he gets hurt and starts thinking about changing himself but then it seems as if the originality of his nature is lost, after two-four days he forgets everything.

He has an understanding of Gurbani as well. He has also read Sufi poets like Heer Waris Shah and many others. Sometimes it seems that his nature has been moulded in the poetic consciousness of the Sufis like a crucible.

While Bedi's achievement lies in his honesty, his nature is original; he is not like anyone else and he is generous towards new writers.
