Poonch, August 31 (HS). With a mission to ensure that every voter in Poonch district regardless of their location is well informed and prepared to exercise their democratic rights, District SVEEP Team Poonch (Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation) organized an outreach programme on Saturday at border village Dhokri Banwat under the aegis of District Election Officer Poonch Vikas Kundal (IAS).
The focus of this initiative was to engage various categories of voters including first-time voters, women and senior citizens to ensure that every eligible voter is informed and motivated to participate in the upcoming elections. The Yatra aims to reach the innermost areas of the district thereby reinforcing the administration's commitment to promote voter education.
During this visit, the team also listened to the concerns of the villagers, addressed any challenges they faced in accessing polling stations, and ensured that their voices were heard. The interaction was both educational and empowering with the teams answering any election-related queries that community members had. This outreach programme is a testament to the administration's dedication to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections even in the most challenging and geographically isolated areas. Through these concerted efforts, the administration seeks to ensure that every voter is registered and actively engaged in the democratic process, fully understanding the importance of their participation.
