Haridwar, 31 August (HS). A program was organized at Divine College of Medical Sciences under the National Tobacco Control Awareness Program. In which the health department team made people aware about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and its negative impact on a healthy lifestyle.
Addressing the program, the chief speaker, District Consultant Dr. Sunil Rana, through a PPT, explained the various ill effects of tobacco on health, the contribution of tobacco in problems like mouth problems etc. as well as impotence. He appealed to the people present to stay away from any kind of addiction and also make the people around them aware about its ill effects.
At the end of the program, Dr. Rana organized a quiz for the students and gave prizes to the winning participants. On this occasion, he encouraged the students participating in the Kavad Yatra Camp Medical Service by giving them certificates.
Dr. Ashok Tomar, Additional Chief Medical Officer, Vinod Kumari, Tanisha Atri, Rohit Yadav, Manoj Kumar Pal, teachers and all the students were present in this program.
