Car swept away in flood waters in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, three dead | News India

Guntur, 31 August (HS). A car was washed away in the Guntur district on Saturday due to the floods caused by the continuous torrential rains in Andhra Pradesh since Friday. Three people travelling in the car died in this accident. This accident took place on the Vijayawada-Guntur highway.

District police said a car was swept away while crossing a local bridge near Uppalapadu in Pedakakani mandal. Three people travelling in the car died in this accident. The deceased have been identified as Raghavendra, Satvik and Manik. Raghavendra, a resident of Uppalapadu, was working as a teacher in a school in Nambur mandal. Satvik and Manik studied in the same school where Raghavendra was a teacher.

Due to heavy rains, the school management declared a holiday on Saturday morning. After this, while returning from school, Raghavendra also took two students from Uppalapadu in the car. This accident happened while returning.
