Twenty Pakistani refugees got Indian citizenship in Jaisalmer | News India

Jaisalmer, August 31 (HS). District Magistrate and District Collector Pratap Singh provided Indian citizenship certificates to twenty Pakistani refugees at the DRDA Hall located in the District Collectorate.

The Pakistani refugees expressed happiness on becoming Indian citizens and said that their dream of becoming Indian citizens has been fulfilled. In the District Collector's office, the District Collector provided Indian citizenship certificates to Shakeena, Ridmal, Nazir, Matli Mai, Bhagwan Singh and Sugna.

During this, Home Ministry's Deputy Secretary Rajesh Jain, Additional District Collector Munni Ram Bagaria, Hindu Singh Sodha along with Pakistani citizens and their families were present.

The collector congratulated the Pakistani refugees on getting Indian citizenship after providing them with Indian citizenship certificates. The additional district collector said that a two-day camp was organized for Indian citizenship.

Here, expressing their happiness after becoming Indian citizens, the Pakistani refugees said that they are very happy to become Indian citizens. They expressed their happiness by distributing sweets and garlanding each other.
