Change in rules: From Aadhaar, credit card to LPG… these 7 big rules will change from tomorrow | News India

Like every month, many big changes are going to happen in the month of September, which will have a direct impact on your pocket. These include Aadhar card, credit card, LPG cylinder and FD rules. These changes can affect your monthly expenses. Apart from this, the government can also give the gift of DA increase to the central employees. Let us know what changes are going to happen from next month.

1- The price of LPG cylinder will change
The price of LPG cylinder changes every month. There is a difference in the prices of commercial gas cylinder and LPG. Oil companies sometimes increase the price and sometimes reduce it. In such a situation, the price of LPG may change this time too. Last month, the price of commercial LPG gas cylinder was increased by Rs 8.50, while in July its price was reduced by Rs 30.

2- Rules related to fake calls will change
Fake calls and messages can be curbed from tomorrow, as TRAI has instructed telecom companies to curb fake calls and fake messages. TRAI has announced strict guidelines for this. TRAI has asked telecom companies like Jio, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, BSNL to shift telemarketing calls and commercial messaging starting from 140 mobile number series to blockchain-based DLT i.e. Distributed Laser Technology Platform by 30 September.

3- ATF and CNG-PNG rates will change
Along with LPG cylinders, the oil market companies also change the prices of Air Turbine Fuel (ATF) and CNG-PNG every month.

4- Credit card rules will change
HDFC Bank has set a limit on reward points on utility transactions, this rule will come into effect from tomorrow i.e. September 1. Under this, customers can earn only 2,000 points per month on these transactions. HDFC Bank will not give any reward points for making educational payments through third party apps.

IDFC First Bank will reduce the minimum amount payable on credit cards from September 2024. The payment date will also be reduced from 18 to 15 days. Also, from September 1, 2024, customers using RuPay credit cards for payments on UPI and other platforms will get the same reward points as those using credit cards of other payment service providers.

5- Dearness allowance will increase
The central government can make a big announcement for the employees in September. It is expected that the government will increase the dearness allowance of the employees by 3 percent. At present, 50 percent dearness allowance (DA) is given to the government employees, whereas after the 3 percent increase it will become 53 percent.

6- Free Aadhaar update
The last date for free Aadhaar card update (free Aadhaar update) has been fixed as 14 September. After this, you will not be able to update some things related to Aadhaar for free. After September 14, you will have to pay a fee to get Aadhaar updated. However, earlier the last date for free Aadhaar update was 14 June 2024, which has been extended to 14 September 2024.

7- Rules related to investment in special FD
IDBI Bank has extended the duration of special FD by 300 days, 375 days and 444 days from 30 June to 30 September. Indian Bank has also extended the time limit of 300 days special FD till 30 September. While the last date for Punjab and Sindh Bank's special FD is 30 September. The last date for SBI Amrit Kalash Special FD Scheme has also been kept as 30 September. That is, there will be no investment in these FD schemes after September.
