Kedarnath Dham: A horrifying video has emerged from Kedarnath. In this video, a helicopter can be seen falling from above. However, it is being told that the helicopter had developed a fault and was being taken for repairs. The damaged helicopter is being towed by another helicopter.
Meanwhile, the chain to which the helicopter was attached broke. After this, the damaged helicopter fell straight from the sky to the ground. The video of this entire incident has also been captured on camera. The damaged helicopter completely shattered after landing on the ground. A team of SDRF is present at the spot.
A helicopter being brought to Gauchar airstrip by MI-17 aircraft for repairs crashed in Kedarnath. The helicopter was being airlifted due to technical fault on May 24, 2024 but had to make an emergency landing. The district tourism officer said that the plan was to take the helicopter to Gauchar airstrip for repairs on Saturday with the help of MI-17 aircraft. After covering some distance, the MI-17 lost its balance. Due to the gusts and wind, the helicopter had to be landed near Tharu Camp.
Giving information about the incident, SDRF said, “Today SDRF rescue team received information from Police post Lincholi that a damaged helicopter of a private company, which was being transported from Shri Kedarnath helipad to Gochar helipad by another helicopter, has fallen into the river at Lincholi. The SDRF team has reached the spot and there is no report of any casualty in the incident.
