Maharashtra Health Minister Tanaji Sawant: Maharashtra minister and Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leader Tanaji Sawant's 'vomiting' statement has become so serious that NCP (Ajit faction) leaders have even demanded breaking the alliance. A leader of NCP (Ajit faction) has made it clear that either Tanaji should be sacked or the alliance should be broken.
What did Tanaji say?
Maharashtra Health Minister Tanaji Sawant addressed an event in which he talked about his discomfort with the NCP (Ajit group) and said, 'I am a staunch Shiv Sainik. Whoever is a staunch Shiv Sainik can never sit with the Congress and the Nationalist Congress. From the beginning till now, sitting with the NCP has made me feel uncomfortable. I cannot tolerate it from the beginning because both of us have different views, there is no doubt about it. Even if I sit in the cabinet with NCP chief Ajit Pawar today, I feel like vomiting after coming out. I cannot tolerate it. It is not that it cannot be changed, but we are committed to our principles.
Break the alliance
NCP (Ajit Group) has also reacted to Tanaji's statement. They have demanded that Tanaji be sacked or withdrawn from the alliance. NCP (Ajit Group) spokesperson Umesh Patil said, 'I request the senior leaders of the party to leave the Mahayuti instead of tolerating such statements.' Also (Ajit Group) NCP spokesperson and Legislative Council member Amol Mitkari also condemned Tanaji's statement and accused Tanaji of weakening the unity of the Grand Alliance. He said, 'We are silent only to fulfill the coalition dharma.'
Sharad Pawar's party leaders criticized Tanaji's statement
Leaders of Sharad Pawar's party have also criticized Tanaji's statement. NCP (SCP) spokesperson Clyde Cresto said, 'Tanaji's comments reflect the growing discontent within the alliance. So now the time has come when BJP will slowly but steadily expel Ajit Pawar from the Mahagathbandhan. BJP cadre is questioning the alliance with Ajit Pawar. Which shows the growing discontent within them.'
