West Delhi Lions returned to winning ways with batsman Krish Yadav's century (106 off 68 balls). This was also his fourth century of the current season of the Delhi Premier League. Krish hit 8 fours and 6 sixes during his century.
Batting first, the opening batsmen of West Delhi Lions gave the team a great start by batting aggressively. The team lost its first wicket in the form of Ankit Kumar in the 9th over, but Krish continued his excellent form and along with captain Hrithik Shaukeen added 64 runs for the next wicket. The rest of the players played a slow but steady innings, due to which the team scored 178 runs by losing 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
South Delhi Superstars had a bad start while chasing 179 runs and the team lost its first wicket in the second over itself, after which wickets kept falling at regular intervals and the team faltered badly. South Delhi Superstars lost five wickets for 92 runs within 11 overs.
Although the team tried to recover later, the match was stopped due to rain. At this time the team's score was 123 runs in 15 overs. Due to continuous rain, the match could not be restarted and due to DLS rule, West Delhi Lions won this match by 4 runs.
