Man killed by python in Jharkhand: Hemant Singh, who used to beg from people by showing a python-snake, never thought that this snake would take his life. Hemant, a resident of Rapcha village of Patmda, was begging from people in the name of God near Heera Hotel on Dimna Road in the city on Thursday morning at 09.30 am with a python wrapped around his neck. During this time, the python caught him and killed him. Hemant Singh died due to the snake catching his body.
After the python escaped, the local people took Hemant Singh to MGM Hospital for treatment but the doctors declared him dead after examination. 52-year-old Hemant Singh used to bring snakes from the village and run Gujarat by begging from people. On Thursday morning also, he reached Dimna Road with the python. He had wrapped the python around his neck. When he was showing the python to the people, the python started biting him. He immediately fell on the road and started gasping.
The people present there did not have the courage to save him from the snake. Hemant died shortly after. People told that four days ago also he was seen roaming on the highway with the snake. On getting information about the incident, his son Jagbandhu Singh reached MGM Hospital. Police registered a case of unnatural death and sent the body for postmortem.
The python started running here and there on the road
After Hemant's body fell on the road, the python started running here and there on the road in search of a place to hide. This created confusion among the local people. On receiving the information, BJP leader Vikas Singh reached the spot. He immediately called the snake charmer and caught the python, which was handed over to the forest department.
