The matter of breaking the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji in Maharashtra has been in discussion for many days. There is a continuous discussion on this issue from the state government to the central government. On Friday, when PM Modi reached Palghar in Maharashtra, he mentioned this incident during his address and bowed his head with folded hands on the stage and said, 'I am apologizing with my head bowed for the fall of Shivaji's statue.'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Maharashtra on Friday. Meanwhile, he participated in a program in Palghar. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal felicitated him. PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the Vadhavan port to be built here at a cost of Rs 76,000 crore. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 218 fisheries projects worth Rs 1,560 crore.
Earlier, PM Modi also addressed the Global Fintech Fest 2024 in Mumbai. During his address, he expressed grief over the collapse of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji recently and said, “I bow my head and apologize for the fall of Shivaji's statue.” Let us tell you that earlier CM Eknath Shinde had also apologized on the issue of the statue falling. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, who is facing constant criticism, said on Thursday that if needed, he would not hesitate to touch the feet of the powerful ruler 100 times and apologize for the incident. The opposition has other issues for politicization, but Pujya Shivaji Maharaj should be kept away from this in Maharashtra. On the other hand, amid the commotion created by the recent incident of a statue falling in Sindhudurg district, the state government has constituted a technical committee to find out the causes of the accident.
