mumbai chor news : A thief broke into the flat of Marathi film director Swapna Joshi and fled with Rs 6,000 in cash, an official said in Mumbai on Tuesday. The incident took place when the family's pet cat let out a scary scream.

On Monday, the police registered an FIR against an unidentified person who broke into Joshi's flat in Andheri (West) on Sunday. According to an official from Amboli police station, the thief entered the Marathi director's flat in 'Vijahar B' building through a pipe.

Ashok Pandit has shared a video on the social media platform. He said, “This video is for all of us, especially for senior citizens living alone. You will be surprised to see how a thief broke into the 6th floor house of famous filmmaker @s_w_a_p_n_a (Lokhandwala Complex Andheri West Mumbai). He saw that the security guards were either busy looking at their mobile phones or sleeping.

The family's pet cat started barking menacingly upon seeing the stranger, following which the thieves fled. Later when Joshi checked the CCTV cameras installed in his flat, he saw that a man wearing a T-shirt and shorts climbed up the drainage pipe between 3.10 and 3.30 am and entered the house through the window.
