Stock Market Today: The stock market is witnessing a slow upward trend. Today, Sensex and Nifty again reached new historical highs. The Realty Index is trading with a gain of more than 1 percent today due to increased buying in the shares of companies in the real estate sector. The overall market sentiment has also been seen to be positive.
The Sensex today touched a new record high of 82637.03. While the Nifty hit a high of 25258.80 and was trading at 25229.70, up 77.75 points at 11.10 am. The Sensex is trading 256.55 points higher.
Attractive rise in these stocks
Today, energy, telecom, oil and gas stocks have seen attractive gains. The energy index reached a historic high of 14029.33, telecom 3334.55, and oil and gas 33282.92. Volumes rose after Reliance Industries announced a Rs 1 share bonus per share. However, the stock was trading down 0.49 per cent today. Buying volumes have also increased in banking stocks. Market experts have indicated that the stock market will continue to rise due to positive factors at the local and global level. IT and technology stocks also rose amid strong possibilities of the Fed Reserve starting to cut interest rates.
At 11.20 am, the realty index was trading with a gain of 1.26 per cent, telecom index 1.00 per cent, healthcare 1.05 per cent. Out of the total 3867 stocks trading on BSE, 2253 stocks improved and 1484 stocks declined. 229 stocks touched a new high of the year and 232 stocks hit an upper circuit. At the same time, 14 stocks remained at the lowest level of the year and 227 stocks saw a lower circuit.
