Morinda: Police have arrested two people in the case of printing and circulation of fake notes. Senior police captain Gulneet Singh Khurana said that on August 27, a person came to Luthedi in a car with his companions. One of these people was trying to circulate a fake note of Rs 500 at a sweet shop in Luthedi, who fled with his companions when there was noise in the market.

The next day he was again trying to circulate fake notes in Bus Stand Market Luthedi, but the police caught him. The accused has been identified as Kulwant Singh, resident of Kotha Patti Mohabbata, Thana Mahana, District Moga. Fake notes worth Rs 1500 were recovered from him. Along with him, the police have also named Jaswinder Singh, Kulveer Singh resident of village Buttar Kalan, Thana Mahana District Moga and Jodh Singh resident of Singhawala in the case. A printer machine used to print fake notes has been recovered from the accused. The arrested accused have been produced in the court and police remand has been obtained, from whom more fake notes are likely to be recovered.
