Haridwar, August 29 (HS). In a meeting held on Thursday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbyal, department-wise review of district plan, state sector and centrally funded and externally aided schemes was done.
The District Magistrate directed the Animal Husbandry Department to promote poultry farming and distribute chicks with longer life expectancy. Directed the Block Development Officer and Chief Veterinary Officer to develop mother poultry and hatchery. Also ordered to promote Kadaknath species of poultry and artificial insemination. Instructed the Horticulture Department to start tangerine production pilot project and plant trees along the NH. Instructed the Agriculture Department to provide medicines and equipment to farmers on time.
In the review of the education department, he advised to bring the quality of education in government schools at par with the standards of private schools and to provide timely facilities to children. He directed the social welfare department to distribute the amount of social security pension on time.
He ordered the construction agencies to complete the construction works in a quality manner and on time. He asked them to complete the process of tenders pending for the projects soon and issue work orders. He also gave instructions to ensure proper use of funds.
Chief Development Officer Prateek Jain, Project Director KN Tiwari, District Development Officer Ved Prakash, Superintending Engineer PWD Suresh Tomar, Executive Engineer Rajiv Kumar Tamta, District Education Officer Basic Ashutosh Bhandari, Executive Engineer PL Nautiyal, Assistant Forest Conservator Sandeepa Sharma, District Panchayat Raj Officer Atul Pratap Singh and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
