State Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development Radha Singh said that no disabled person should be deprived of the benefits of government schemes, it should be ensured that they are given 100% benefits of every scheme. He said this during the advocacy meeting of disabled people held in the Collectorate Auditorium, Sidhi on Thursday. Disabled Commissioner Sandeep Rajak and district officials were present in the meeting held under the chairmanship of Minister of State Radha Singh as the chief guest and MP Sidhi Singrauli Dr. Rajesh Mishra.
The state minister said that the disabled should be served with a true spirit. He said that 100% benefits of the schemes run by the state government should be given. He instructed the director of the DDRC centre and the officer of the social justice department that whatever equipment is given to them should be of high quality. State minister Radha Singh distributed tricycles and hearing aids to the disabled.
Disabled Commissioner Sandeep Rajak said that various public welfare schemes are being run by the government for the benefit of the disabled people. 100% disabled people of the district should be identified and given benefits. He said that earlier only seven types of disabilities were included in disability. But now, including medical physical disabilities, a total of 21 types of disabilities have been included in disability. For which wide publicity should be done. So that people become aware. He said that publicity should be done by putting up boards in government offices, gram panchayats, urban bodies, hospitals, educational institutions. Along with this, there is a need to sensitize the police personnel by making them aware about the above.
