MP Pappu Yadav made important demands from Railway GM for Purnia Lok Sabha constituency | News India

Purnia, 29 August (HS). Pappu Yadav, MP from Purnia Lok Sabha constituency, met the General Manager (GM) of East Central Railway and put forward several important demands for improving the rail facilities of the region. He demanded to start the operation of Garib Rath and Vaishali Express from Purnia, run Hate Bajare Express daily and stoppage of Kosi Express at Janakinagar. Apart from this, he requested to stop Hate Bajare Express at Purnia Court, start Kursela to Rupauli and Bihariganj rail line soon, and start rail routes from Banmankhi, Jalalgarh, Galgalia.

MP Yadav also demanded to build a washing pit at Purnia Court Station and shift the ballast plant elsewhere. He stressed the need for toilet, pure drinking water and drainage system at Court Station, Purnia Jackson and Banmankhi Station.

MP Yadav expressed the need to increase the number of coaches in all DMU trains running on the Saharsa-Purnia rail section, so that passengers can get convenience. Also, he demanded the extension of the proposed train from Saharsa to Madhepura to Banmankhi, which will benefit thousands of passengers of the area.

He demanded the extension of Jamalpur-Saharsa Down 05510 Up 05510 trains to Purnia Court, which will provide direct connectivity to the people of Koshi and Seemanchal region with South Bihar. Apart from this, he also stressed on the need for cleanliness of trains at Banmankhi Junction railway station and timely completion of building construction work under Amrit Bharat Yojana.

MP Yadav also demanded the provision of basic facilities for passengers such as passenger shed, electricity, drinking water, toilets, and access path to the platform at Bharatkhand Halt located between Pasraha and Narayanpur stations of Barauni-Katihar railway line. He said that due to the lack of these facilities, passengers are facing inconvenience, which is also reducing the revenue of the railways.
