Chief Minister Hemant Soren directed the officials to ensure better law and order in all circumstances so that the upcoming Durga Puja, Diwali, Chhath Mahaparva and other festivals are celebrated peacefully in the state. The Chief Minister told the officials that any kind of violence, disturbance, organized crime etc. incidents should be stopped immediately during the festivals. Make strong preparations for this. Ensure strict action against those who commit crime. All administrative preparations should be done with a better planning. The above instructions were given by Chief Minister Hemant Soren to the officials in a high-level meeting held on Thursday in Jharkhand Ministry regarding the maintenance of law and order during the upcoming Durga Puja, Diwali, Chhath Mahaparva and other festivals.

The Chief Minister told the officers that nowadays, even in small towns, festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm, zest and joy.

The Chief Minister directed the officers to ensure that there is no electricity problem during the festivals. The department should prepare a better backup plan soon to provide uninterrupted electricity. The Chief Minister told the officers that the next 4 months are the time of various festivals, the officers should focus on improving and strengthening the arrangements with sensitivity. The Chief Minister told the officers that there is a possibility of accidents due to power cuts during festivals. In such a situation, a better backup plan should be prepared for power supply in urban areas as well as rural areas.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that special vigilance should be exercised in sensitive and crowded areas during the festival. Ensure monitoring of anti-social elements especially in Puja pandals and surrounding areas. The Chief Minister said that CCTV cameras must be installed on Puja pandals to monitor activities. The Chief Minister directed the officials to keep a close watch on social media. If anyone tries to spread rumors or confusion on social media, take immediate and strict action against him. The Chief Minister directed the officials to take strict action against anti-social elements and hooligans in view of communal harmony and sensitivity. Action should be ensured against elements spreading rumors and violating the law while being vigilant. The Chief Minister said that the administration should keep a close watch on mischievous and anti-social elements who disturb communal harmony and peace. The Chief Minister said that the administration should also rein in those driving at high speed during festivals.
