Prayagraj, 04 March (HS). Under the Chief Minister's Mass Marriage Scheme run by the Social Welfare Department, under the auspices of the Municipal Corporation, a mass marriage of 157 adult couples took place at the Northern Regional Institute of Printing Technology campus, Teliarganj on Monday. The Mayor greeted the newly married couples by providing them with the necessary material along with the marriage certificate.
Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani said that with the guidance and inspiration of the Prime Minister and under the leadership of the Chief Minister, today the government is organizing the marriage ceremony of the poor daughters of our state who were not able to get married due to lack of money and dowry, under the mass marriage scheme. It is happening with great pomp. The Prime Minister is trying to remove many social evils along with bringing qualitative changes in the lives of people through his efficient leadership, personality, conduct and behavior. To eliminate social evils and protect daughters, many schemes are being run for the daughters right from their birth. He said that it is the result of the thinking of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister that today our poor daughters are getting married. Along with financial assistance, daughters are also being presented gifts. Legislative Council member Surendra Chaudhary congratulated the newlyweds on their new beginning in life and wished them a successful married life.

And wished him good luck for entering the new life. The Municipal Commissioner expressed his gratitude to all the guests and people who came to the program.
