Election officer said – Get your name added to the voter list in time, definitely vote

Dehradun, March 04 (HS). District Election Officer Sonika shared information with the media regarding the preparations and arrangements of the district administration for peacefully conducting the Lok Sabha elections in Tehri Garhwal parliamentary constituency at Rishiparna Auditorium Collectorate on Monday. The election officer appealed to the citizens to register their names in the voter list and exercise their franchise.

The District Election Officer said that on the basis of the eligibility date of January 1, 2024, till the e-roll updation works, there are 1549344 general voters in the district, out of which 805291 are male, 743977 are female, 76 are of third gender. There are 11480 disabled voters and 29417 voters above 80 years of age. There are 9825 service voters in 10 assemblies of Dehradun. Under Tehri Garhwal parliamentary constituency, three assembly constituencies of district Uttarkashi namely Purola (SC), Yamunotri, Gangotri, district Tehri to Ghansali (SC), Pratapnagar, Tehri, Dhanaulti, Chakrata of district Dehradun (SC). ), Vikasnagar, Sahaspur, Raipur, Rajpur Road (SC), Dehradun Cantt, Mussoorie assembly. There are a total of 1572283 general voters in 14 assemblies under Tehri Garhwal Parliamentary Constituency. Among these, men are 813020, women are 759211, third gender is 62. Disabled voters are 16326, voters above 80 years of age are 31724. There are 2462 polling places and 1956 polling stations.

Efforts to increase voting percentage-

District Election Officer said that basic facilities are being provided at the polling station. Idol booths are also being built. The district administration is continuously organizing activities under sweep to increase the voting percentage.
