Now, as the ruling party, BJP keeps reacting and giving clarifications to the true and false arguments of the opposition | News India

Reaction And Clarification One.j

Response and clarification: Rajiv Sachan. It has not even been 100 days since the Modi government completed its third term, but in such a short time it has had to back down from many decisions. Due to which it is being called a U-turn government. Along with the government, BJP is also having to take a U-turn. The way the party withdrew the list of 44 candidates for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections is a U-turn.

This not only hurt the disciplined image of the party but also caused embarrassment. BJP had to withdraw this list because many old leaders were not given tickets and leaders from other parties were made candidates. The opposition to this was so strong that BJP had to withdraw the list within two hours and only 16 names were announced in the new list instead of 44.

The BJP may be able to assuage discontent by releasing the remaining 28 names, but this shows that the party has not learnt any lessons about dealing with the consequences of making leaders of other parties its own. Did the candidates suffer in the Lok Sabha elections?

On the same day that the BJP withdrew its list of candidates from Jammu and Kashmir, it distanced itself from Kangana Ranaut’s statement on the anti-farm law movement, but also warned her to keep quiet.

Kangana said, 'In that movement, bodies were hanging, rape was happening. Agricultural laws were withdrawn, otherwise the plan of the rioters was the same as they had done in Bangladesh. Kangana's statement was not appropriate for the BJP considering the sensitivity of the occasion due to Haryana assembly elections, but she did not say anything wrong.

During this movement, the palm of Lakhbir Singh, a Dalit youth from Punjab, was chopped off and hung on the barricade. It is also true that a girl who joined the movement was raped. Everyone knows how Mukesh, a youth from Haryana, was burnt in this movement and on 26 January 2021, a naked dance of violence was performed by attacking the Red Fort on the pretext of a tractor parade.

Before the parade, Rakesh Tikait had threatened that if the tractors were stopped, the 'buckles' would be removed. Recently, Tikait had said that if they had marched towards Parliament instead of the Red Fort on the day of the tractor parade, the condition of the country would have become like Bangladesh that day. Rakesh Tikait in a way confirmed Kangana's statement. It is also not hidden from anyone that professional agitators were also active among the farmers in the anti-agriculture movement. For this reason, the Prime Minister himself called them agitators.

On Kangana's statement, Congress said that BJP should expel her from the party. I don't know why BJP could not ask Congress to expel Salman Khurshid, who was saying that what is happening in Bangladesh can happen in India too. If BJP wanted, it could have easily dismissed Kangana's statement like other parties by calling it her personal statement, but it also said that Kangana is neither authorized nor allowed to speak on policy issues.

The BJP had to withdraw its list of candidates from Jammu and Kashmir and issue instructions to Kangana at a time when the Modi government managed to snatch an issue from the Opposition with the Unified Pension Scheme or UPS.

It is difficult to say how much BJP will benefit in Haryana by silencing Kangana, but it is easy to say that BJP has started to look politically weak and out of the box. The situation of the party is similar to that of the Modi government. This government not only agreed to hand over the Waqf Act Amendment Bill to the Joint Parliamentary Committee of Parliament, but also had to withdraw the Broadcasting Bill. In the case of lateral entry, they had to bow to the pressure of allies as well as opposition parties.

He cannot blame anyone else for this. He should have known clearly that when the opposition is already engaged in false propaganda of changing the Constitution and abolishing reservation and has caused damage to it, then it will definitely raise its voice about lateral opposition. Why did he not realize that it would have been better to at least take the allies into confidence on lateral entry?

The problem is not that the BJP and the Modi government are not as capable as before due to the loss of 240 seats in the Lok Sabha. The problem is that they are continuously losing on the narrative front. They are not able to understand what to say on caste census or sub-categorization of SC-ST reservation?

Narrative is very important in politics. First the ruling party will start a debate and the opposition will react and clarify. Now the opposition is debating on one issue after another, true or false, and the ruling party seems to be in a position to react and clarify. After all, if this is not called a crisis period for the BJP and the Modi government, then what will it be called?
